Registration


 

Candidates should apply for registration at the Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC) as well as at the University of London. RIC will issue application forms and the relevant Prospectus.


RIC will accept:

      1. Duly completed application form of the RIC, with 2 passport-size colour photographs with blue background.
      2. Duly completed application form of the University of London, with the payment slip of the ‘application handling fee’ of the University of London (refer to Prospectus of the University of London).
      3. Copies of the educational certificates, satisfying the entrance requirements (see instructions below).
      4. Either a copy of the information page of the Passport or an English translation of the Birth Certificate.


Instructions for the submission of the copies of educational certificates.

      1. Copies of the certificates of the London GCE (A/L), London GCE (O/L), any University Degree or Diploma and / or other professional qualifications are required to be certified by the British Council as ‘true copy of the original’.
      2. Copies of the certificates of the Sri Lankan GCE (A/L) and GCE (O/L) are not required to be certified. However, after the submission of the applications, a request should be made at the Department of Examinations in Sri Lanka to send the transcripts to the University of London.
      3. Foreign applicants with educational qualifications from their own country should contact the RIC for clarifications over their educational qualifications or write directly to;

Section procedure


 

Diploma programmes

For Diploma in Economics, Diploma in Social Sciences and Diploma in Law, the selection is made at the RIC, adhering to the criteria stipulated by the University of London. Therefore applicants should first submit the RIC application. Applications for the University of London should be submitted to the RIC only after the student is selected by the RIC.

 

Degrees and other qualifications

For the BSc and LLB degrees, the Diplomas for Graduates and, the Access route, the selection is made at the University of London. The applicant may submit their applications to RIC, as RIC undertakes the submission of applications to the University of London on behalf of the applicant. For the BSc and LLB degrees, the Diplomas for Graduates and, the Access route, the selection is made at the University of London. The applicant also has the option of sending the application directly to the Undergraduate Admissions Office of the University of London and, to submit the RIC application only to RIC.
